For the prime universe counterpart, please see Shaxs.

Shaxs was a hypothetical mirror universe version of Shaxs from the prime universe.

In 2381, when Ensign Sam Rutherford questioned how Shaxs came back from the dead, Beckett Mariner suggested, among other things, that it might have been a "mirror universe switcheroo".

Sometime later, while Rutherford was trying to get Shaxs' resurrection off of his mind, he found it impossible for him to concentrate with his work. Instead, he imagined several possible versions of the resurrected Shaxs, including his doppelganger from the mirror universe who wore a 23rd century Kirk-inspired uniform, claimed that he had "fought his way out of the multiverse." Rutherford imagined that this version of Shaxs was wearing a 23rd century Terran Empire Starfleet uniform, as well as an eyepatch. (LD: "We'll Always Have Tom Paris")

A different imagining of the mirror universe Shaxs, based on the same appearance with a more modern 24th century uniform style, was featured in Mirror Universe Encounter, one of the holographic training drills administered to the USS Cerritos crew in 2381. He was encountered by Ensign Beckett Mariner at one point in the simulation. (LD: "I, Excretus")

These hypothetical versions of Shaxs were both voiced by Fred Tatasciore.
