Scott Cochran is a music recordist, music engineer, and scoring mixer who worked as scoring mixer for the advertising music of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Throughout the last thirty years, Cochran also worked in the music department of television series such as The Guiding Light, Entertainment Tonight, Jake and the Fatman, Melrose Place (1993), High Tide, The Outer Limits, The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest (1996-1997), First Wave, Hyperion Bay, Charmed, Promised Land (1996-1999), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990, 1995-2000), Strong Medicine, The Division, Time Squad (2001), American Dreams, Touched by an Angel (1996-2003), The Office, The 4400 (2004-2007), The Emperor's New School (2006-2008), Planet Sheen (2010-2011), and Monsuno (2011-2012).

In 2000 he received a Golden Reel Award in the category Best Sound Editing – Special Venue for his work on the short documentary Island of the Shark (1999), shared with Michael McDonough.

The Movie (2003), Shrek 2 (2004), White Noise (2005), American Pie Presents: Band Camp (2005), Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj (2006), Star Runners (2009, starring Connor Trinneer), Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead (2009), Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings (2011), Boogeyman (2012), and Slightly Single in L.A.
