SF (once knows as SF Channel) or more commonly known as Sci-Fi Channel was an Australian subscription television channel formed in 2006. It was only available through satellite and cable subscription platforms such as Foxtel and Austar. SF specialized in playing science fiction and fantasy television programs. SF played Star Trek episodes from the live action series in syndication at the time.

Since Austar was assimilated by Foxtel in 2011, that nature of SF's continuation was in limbo. In 2013 it was announced that SF will discontinue broadcasting on the 31 December 2013 and was be replaced by a new Syfy Australia channel, which began broadcasting 1 January 2014. [1]
