Alternate reality
In the alternate reality, the SFC Division was an agency within the United Federation of Planets. One of its responsibilities was the construction of Starfleet starships.
The Riverside Shipyard, located in Riverside, Iowa, on Earth, was one of the shipyards used by the agency. In the mid-23rd century, the USS Enterprise was constructed at this shipyard. (Star Trek)
