Rod Perry (30 July 1934 – 17 December 2020; age 86), was an actor who played a security guard in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. (citation needed • edit) He received no credit for his appearance.
He is best known for his role as David "Deacon" Kay in the 1970s TV series S.W.A.T. and made a cameo appearance in the 2003 film remake.
Perry starred in The Black Godfather (1974) and The Black Gestapo (1975). He also appeared in two episodes of Barney Miller, one of Good Times, and an episode of Babylon 5 as General Netter in the first season (alongside Andreas Katsulas and David L. Crowley).
