Rihanna, full name Robyn Rihanna Fenty (born 20 February 1988; age 36), is a Barbadian singer, songwriter and actress. She recorded the Star Trek Beyond promotional single "Sledgehammer", which was written by Sia Furler. Rihanna also costarred with Sia in the 2015 remake of Annie.

Rihanna inherited her love of Star Trek from her father during childhood, and said "Sledgehammer" is more important than recording a song for just any film, "because Star Trek is such a big deal across the globe." [1] Her song "Shut Up & Drive' was included in the soundtrack to 2008's Wild Child costarring Vanessa Branch (as well on the soundtrack to the 2012 animated film Wreck-It Ralph co-starring the voice of Sarah Silverman). Also in 2008, her hit "Take A Bow" was featured in the sex comedy The House Bunny starring Christopher McDonald. In 2009, Rihanna contributed "Live Your Life" to the megahit The Hangover costarring Rachael Harris.

In addition to her career as a singer, Rihanna has also built an acting career with roles in the science fiction films Battleship (2012, with Joe Chrest) and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017), and the heist film Ocean's 8 (2018).
