For the DS9 episode of the same name, please see "Resurrection".

Resurrection or reanimation was the bringing back of individuals from the dead after a prolonged period of time, particularly with supernatural means. The term could also refer to bringing back something that had ended, such as a movement that had ceased, or forgotten memories. (TNG: "Violations", VOY: "Concerning Flight", "The Voyager Conspiracy")

In 2154, T'Pol asked Trip Tucker if she could do anything for him. Tucker, still hurting from the loss of several Enterprise NX-01 crewmen (which also renewed his grief over his sister's death via the Xindi superweapon), replied, "Not unless you can resurrect the dead." (ENT: "The Forgotten")

In 2256, Doctor Hugh Culber was killed by Ash Tyler when he fell under the control of Voq's consciousness. Unbeknownst to anyone else, Culber's essence was transferred into the mycelial network through Paul Stamets. Months later, in 2257, Culber's presence in the network was discovered and he was resurrected by the jahSepp version of May Ahearn who rebuilt Culber's body in the jahSepp cocoon on the USS Discovery. (DIS: "Despite Yourself", "The Wolf Inside", "Saints of Imperfection")

Shortly after his death, Shaxs was resurrected through a harrowing process that involved "dark truths about scientific depravity" and the black mountain. He resumed his duties aboard the Cerritos, though he remained heavily affected by the experience and suffered from flashbacks. (LD: "We'll Always Have Tom Paris")

Following retired Starfleet Admiral Jean-Luc Picard's death, he was resurrected by being transferred into a new golem body by Dr. Altan Soong. (PIC: "Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 2")

In 2401, with the last of his power, Q resurrected Elnor as he transported the young man's companions back to the present. (PIC: "Farewell")

Later that year, Data was effectively resurrected after gaining full control of Daystrom Android M-5-10. (PIC: "Surrender")

In 3190, Gray Tal was resurrected by Doctor Hugh Culber unjoining his consciousness from Tal with the help of Guardian Xi and then transferring it into a golem using the Soong Method. (DIS: "Choose to Live")

In 3191, it was discovered from Dr. Vellek's diary that the Progenitors' technology that was capable of creating life might also be capable of bringing someone back from the dead. However, Captain Michael Burnham learned from a Progenitor that while the technology could create a genetically identical individual, they would share none of the original's memories or fundamental essence, meaning that it couldn't be used for resurrection. (DIS: "Erigah", "Life, Itself")
