A reactor or power reactor was a type of vessel or device designed to contain a chemical reaction. Reactors were often used to control that process in order to provide power for other systems.

Dolamide was a chemical compound often used in reactors, among other things. (DS9: "Dramatis Personae")

Bio-reactors were medical technology to manufacture viruses. The Xindi-Reptilians that time travelled from 2153 to 2004 took such a reactor with them. (ENT: "Carpenter Street")

Field reactors were containment field generators used by an ancient society on The Waters. (VOY: "Thirty Days")

Fusion reactors were often used to power starships, including the Delphic Expanse spheres in the 22nd century and impulse drives of Federation vessels. In the latter case, they were referred to as impulse reactors. (ENT: "Anomaly (ENT)", "The Seventh"; TNG: "Contagion") Deep Space 9 was also powered by fusion reactors. (DS9: "The Forsaken")

For starship holodecks, the main power source was a holodeck reactor. (VOY: "Parallax")

The Enarans used microfusion reactors, as did the Cardassians. (VOY: "Remember"; DS9: "Empok Nor")

Nuclear fission reactors were a common power source in the 20th and 21st century for Earth vehicles. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

Nuclear reactors were used on Earth in the 20th century. (DS9: "Little Green Men") The PXK pergium reactor was an early 23rd century version of the nuclear reactor. (TOS: "The Devil in the Dark")

A reactor core was the device that powered a Romulan planetary base and Cardassian space stations. (TNG: "The Defector"; DS9: "Q-Less")

In 2369, while scanning for the crash landed runabout USS Yangtzee Kiang in the Gamma Quadrant, Lieutenant Jadzia Dax noted that the warp eddy had traces of meson particle emissions, pointing to a Starfleet power reactor. (DS9: "Battle Lines")

The Nacene used tetryon reactor technology as their primary power source. (VOY: "The Voyager Conspiracy")
