Quark 2000

The Quark 2000 was an advanced replicator personally programmed by Quark to give his beverages a "special zing" unachievable by standard Federation models. It thus contributed to the success of his Quark's franchises across the Alpha Quadrant. The device was derived from a Karemma replicator Quark "borrowed" some years earlier.

When a Karemma delegation visited Deep Space 9 for trade talks in 2381, they were outraged to find their technology being used in the Quark 2000 without permission. They attempted to arrest Quark then and there, but Captain Carol Freeman of the USS Cerritos was able to broker a deal by which they would receive 76% of the Quark's franchise profits in exchange for allowing Quark to stay out of prison.
