Paul Kent (13 October 19307 October 2011; age 80) was the actor who played Beach in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

Kent appeared in Helter Skelter (1976, co-starring fellow Star Trek alumni Alan Oppenheimer, Roy Jenson, Marc Alaimo, Phillip Richard Allen, David Clennon, Bruce French, Skip Homeier, and Robert Ito).

His other TV movie credits include The Alpha Caper (1973, with Leonard Nimoy, Victor Tayback, Kenneth Tobey, James B. Sikking, and Paul Sorensen), Pray for the Wildcats (1974, with William Shatner), Guilty or Innocent: The Sam Sheppard Murder Case (1975, with William Windom, George Murdock, John Crawford, Paul Fix, Stewart Moss, and Paul Lambert), J. Edgar Hoover (1987, with Louise Fletcher, David Ogden Stiers, and John McLiam), and A Killer Among Us (1990, with Dwight Schultz and Richard Riehle). Kent also appeared in the pilot movie for William Shatner's T. J. Hooker in 1982, co-starring Richard Herd. He also appeared in several regular episodes of the series, which also starred Herd and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine actor James Darren.

Kent also made guest appearances on The Mod Squad (with Clarence Williams III and Tige Andrews), Three's Company, Barney Miller (with Lee Meriwether), Falcon Crest, Night Court (with John Larroquette), and Frasier (with Kelsey Grammer). He also appeared in such films as Lifeguard (1976), Perfect (1985), and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987, with Craig Wasson, Nan Martin, and Clayton Landey) as well as franchise lead Heather Langenkamp returning as Nancy Thompson. He also appeared in the 2004 remake of Helter Skelter, co-starring Robert Costanzo, Keith Szarabajka, and Robert Pine. Kent passed away on 7 October 2011, after a lengthy battle with multiple myeloma. He was 80 years old.
