Paramount Stage M was located on the Paramount Pictures lot in Hollywood, California. A scoring stage, Stage M was used to record the scores for many of the Star Trek films and episodic scores for the various series.

Stage M, located in the Bing Crosby Building at the corner of Avenue L and Eighth Street on the studio lot, opened in 1932, and was used by Paramount's own orchestra until 1968. Glen-Glenn Sound then leased the stage until The Record Plant took over the lease in 1982.

The scores for Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Star Trek Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, and Star Trek Nemesis were recorded at Stage M.

Paramount's lease with The Record Plant finished towards the end of the second season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and the facility shut down for financial reasons. Recording for Next Generation episodes moved to the 20th Century Fox Scoring Stage for the next four years. The stage reopened in 1992, and score recording resumed there. The stage closed permanently in 2006, the building being demolished to be replaced by a new post-production facility.
