Michael Bryant (born 30 May 1954; age 70), also known as Alan Brennert, wrote the fourth season Star Trek: Enterprise fourth season episodes "Cold Station 12" and "Daedalus". He was also a consulting producer for the season's first eleven episodes.

Bryant was considered by supervising producer Robert H. Justman to hire as writer for the planned Star Trek: The Next Generation series in November 1986, however this early collaboration didn't came to fruition. [1]

He was the plotter for issue #12 "Eclipse of Reason" of the Original Series comic books published by Marvel Comics.

Bryant – often credited as Brennert – also wrote scripts for Wonder Woman, The Twilight Zone, China Beach (a series starring Robert Picardo, Jeff Kober, Megan Gallagher, and Concetta Tomei, L.A. Law (starring Corbin Bernsen and Larry Drake), The Outer Limits, and Odyssey 5.
