Mary Kay Morse

Mary Kay Morse is a makeup artist who worked on Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (including work on Todd Slayton's blue-skinned alien). Morse was briefly interviewed on the special "Westmore's Aliens" on the Star Trek: Insurrection (Special Edition) where she worked on the Evora makeup.

Morse was part of the makeup department which earned three Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Makeup for a Series for their work on the Deep Space Nine episodes "Apocalypse Rising" (1997 shared with Camille Calvet, Michael Westmore, Karen Iverson, Ellis Burman, R. Stephen Weber, David Quashnick, Dean Jones, Mark Bussan, Brad Look, Belinda Bryant, James MacKinnon, Allan A. Apone, Perri Sorel, John Maldonado, Lisa Collins, and Karen Westerfield), "Who Mourns for Morn?" (1998 shared with Camille Calvet, Michael Westmore, Dean Jones, Karen Iverson, Mark Bussan, Ellis Burman, Karen Westerfield, Belinda Bryant, Joe Podnar, Suzanne Diaz, Jill Rockow, David Quashnick, and Bernd Rantscheff), and "The Dogs of War" (1999 shared with Michael Westmore, Camille Calvet, Dean Jones, Mark Bussan, Ellis Burman, Belinda Bryant, Karen Iverson, Karen Westerfield, Brad Look, David Quashnick, Earl Ellis, Joe Podnar, R. Stephen Weber, Jeff Lewis, Sandra Rowden, Toby Lamm, Michael F. Blake, June Westmore, Judith Silverman, Craig Smith, Kevin Haney, Suzanne Diaz, Scott Wheeler, James Rohland, Tina Hoffman, and Natalie Wood).

In 1994 Morse and the makeup team (Star Trek alumni Ron Pipes for example) of the Babylon 5 episode The Parliament of Dreams received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Makeup for a Series. Morse earned two more Emmy Award nominations. The first in 2000 for Outstanding Makeup for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special for Geppetto (shared with Michael Westmore and Earl Ellis) and the second in 2005 for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie or a Special for the Nip/Tuck episode Christian Troy (shared with Thomas R. Burman and Bari Burman). In addition, Geppetto received a Hollywood Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild Award in 2001.

After a short appearance as an actress in Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park (1978, with Anthony Zerbe), Morse worked in the makeup department for projects such as the television series Zorro (1990-1993, starring Duncan Regehr) and Babylon 5 (starring Andreas Katsulas, Bill Mumy, and Patricia Tallman), the television movie Search and Rescue (1994), the drama Tainted Love (1995, along with Sherry O'Keefe), Minority Report (2002, along with Karen Asano-Myers, Terry Baliel, Camille Calvet, Tina Hoffman, Patricia Miller, Candace Neal, Jake Garber, Teressa Hill, and Tegan Taylor), and the television drama Night Life (2008, along with Camille Calvet, Brian McManus, Adam Brandy, and Tina Hoffman).
