As James Doohan, who originated the character, was Canadian, while Simon Pegg who portrayed an alternate reality Scott and Matthew Wolf who voiced an alternate timeline Scott in SNW: "A Quality of Mercy" are English, Quinn is the first Scottish actor to portray the character.
