Mark S. Miller is a visual effects artist who, as a member of Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), operated the animatronic whales used in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. He spent 22 years at ILM, where he held the positions of Vice President and Senior Executive in Charge of Production and Marketing.

Miller worked as project manager, coordinator, and producer for ILM on Howard the Duck (1986), Caddyshack II (1988), Ghostbusters II (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), The Doors (1991), Hudson Hawk (1991), Jurassic Park (1993), Baby's Day Out (1994), Jumanji (1995), Contact (1997), and October Sky (1999).

In 1999 he also served as visual effects producer on Sleepy Hollow which earned him a Saturn Award nomination for Best Special Effects in 2000. He also worked as visual effects producer on Jurassic Park III in 2001.

The following years Miller worked as visual effects executive producer for ILM on A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001), Planet of the Apes (2001), Minority Report (2002), Dreamcatcher (2003), Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004), and J.J. Abrams' Mission: Impossible III (2006).

Miller is currently the President of effects house Digital Domain, which provided special effects for Star Trek Nemesis.
