The Majalan system was a minor star cluster at the edge of Federation space as of 2259. It contained the inhabited planet Majalis, as well as a pulsar.
Lieutenant Christopher Pike visited the cluster in 2249, during which he rescued Alora from a shuttle in distress near the pulsar.
In 2259, Pike – now Captain of the USS Enterprise – returned to the Majalan system on a routine cartographic survey, during which he became involved in a plot to kidnap the incubent Majalan First Servant. (SNW: "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach")
