Referenced in the final draft script of the Star Trek: The Original Series first season episode "Shore Leave", Madame Tussaud's is a museum which specializes in crafting and displaying wax dummies. Likening the face of the Black Knight robot to "a Mme. Taussaud's face," the "Shore Leave" script referred to the museum's faces as "smooth, flawless" and not "cheap" but instead "too good an imitation to be anything but an imitation."
