Lake Ontario Bridge

The Lake Ontario Bridge

The Lake Ontario Bridge was a bridge in North America in the early 21st century. Spanning Lake Ontario with one of its endpoints in Toronto, Canada, it was one of the longest bridges on Earth at the time, and was viewed as a symbol of international cooperation.

The construction of the bridge ran over budget, which was reported on the Greater Toronto Newscast.

In 2022, just after it was completed, the bridge was destroyed by photonic bombs planted by Romulan agents on a mission to impede Human progress. La'an Noonien-Singh and an alternate version of James T. Kirk, who had time travelled from 2259, identified the bombing as a common event in their pasts and thus not the cause of the divergence in their timelines. Noonien-Singh then recognized distinctive charring left by the bomb on the bridge debris. (SNW: "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow")

Senior concept artist and art director Daniel J. Burns shared a couple of detail images of this bridge on his twitter account, which he identified as the "Toronto-Niagara Bridge". [1]
