A knight on top of Canadian cash
The knight was a chess piece, often in the shape of a horse's head, that was moved two squares in one direction and one at right angles to that direction in a single move, leaping over any intervening pieces.
In 2022, James T. Kirk, who had time traveled from an alternate future; was gambling, playing a game of chess in a park in Toronto. He was able to accumulate a good deal of Canadian dollars. He used his knight as a paper weight to keep his money on the table. (SNW: "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow")
When the computer of the USS Enterprise-D was affected by nanites, it responded to an inquiry with "pawn to king three, knight to rook four, queen to bishop three". (TNG: "Evolution")
