Kathryn Lyn (born 19 April) is comedian and Hugo Award nominated writer who is currently involved in three franchise series.

Lyn was initially hired as the "canon consultant" on Star Trek: Lower Decks, and later taken on by Mike McMahan as a writer and executive story editor for Season 2 of Lower Decks. She is currently the supervising producer for Season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and is involved with a currently unnamed series that is still in development.

She was nominated for her work on the Lower Decks episode "wej Duj". [1] The character T'Lyn from that episode was named for Lyn, who cosplayed at conventions for several years, first as K'Lyn, a Klingon-Vulcan hybrid, and later as just a Vulcan of the same name. (LD Season 2 DVD, "wej Duj" audio commentary)

As a lifelong Star Trek fan, her favorite episodes include Star Trek: The Next Generation's "Frame of Mind" and Star Trek: Voyager's "Bride of Chaotica!". [2]
