Karlotta Nelson Muhammad (18 October 1942 – 26 June 2013; age 70) was an actress who worked as background actress for six years on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She was also featured in Star Trek Generations but received no credit for her appearances.

Besides her work on Star Trek, Nelson appeared as Margaret Ward in several episodes of the daily soap General Hospital in 1994 and 1996. She also appeared as an audience member in the Cheers episode "Heeeeeere's... Cliffy!" (1992, with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Bebe Neuwirth, Paul Willson, Gerard David, Jr., Matt Tufo, Robert Buckingham, Don Bennett, Grace Harrell, and Cameron).

Other acting work includes the role of a restaurant patron in Sprung (1997, with Clarence Williams III and Keno Deary), a hospital administrator in the Ally McBeal episode "These Are the Days" (1998, with Willie Garson, Albert Hall, and Bob Gunton), and a party guest in Mission: Impossible III (2006, with Keri Russell, Simon Pegg, Jeffrey Chase, Michael Berry, Jr., Jane Daly, Greg Grunberg, Tracy Middendorf, Bruce French, Ellen Bry, Tony Guma, Michael Kehoe, Charles S. Chun, Jonathan Dixon, Paul A. Brown, Robert Alonzo, Dana Dru Evenson, Yoshio Iizuka, Brandon Molale, Alex Kurtzman, Dan Mindel, Roberto Orci, Douglas Price, Simon Rhee, and written and directed by J.J. Abrams).
