Karen Austin (born 24 October 1954; age 69) is an actress who appeared as Doctor Kalandra in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fifth season episode "Nor the Battle to the Strong" and Miral in the Star Trek: Voyager sixth season episode "Barge of the Dead".

She was among the contenders for the role of Kathryn Janeway, but was beaten out by first Geneviève Bujold, then Kate Mulgrew.

She was a regular on the first season of Night Court with John Larroquette and played Sister Ignaious in Steven Spielberg's "Taken" series in 2002.

From 1995 to 1996, Austin starred in Live Shot. Other Star Trek stars who were also cast members include David Birney, Ron Canada, Jeff Yagher, Bruce McGill, and Sam Anderson.
