Hyperspace physics was a branch of physics that explored the realm of hyperspace.
Hyperspace physics was a subject tested in the Starfleet Academy entrance exam during the 24th century. As an example, the version of the test in 2364 taken on Relva VII by Wesley Crusher, Oliana Mirren, T'Shanik, and Mordock, was: "if the matter and antimatter tanks on a Galaxy-class starship are 9/10s depleted, calculate the intermix ratio necessary to reach a Starbase a hundred light years away at warp factor 8."
The question was determined, by Crusher, to be a trick question, because "there is only one ratio with matter-antimatter. 1:1." (TNG: "Coming of Age")
