In ultimately omitted dialogue from the final draft script of the Star Trek: Enterprise fourth season episode "Storm Front", Haddonfield was referred to as "a forced-labor camp" where, purportedly, "once you go in, you don't come out… at least not on your feet." The location was referred to by Alicia Travers, who additionally told Jonathan Archer that Sal's wife had been sent to Haddonfield. In the script's pronunciation guide, the location's name was notated to be pronounced "HAD-dun-field".
