Great Horned Owl
A Great Horned Owl was a type of nocturnal raptor native to Earth in the region of Yosemite National Park.
In 2287, this type of owl was briefly seen and heard during James T. Kirk, Spock and Leonard McCoy's shore leave to the park. (Star Trek V: The Final Frontier)
A statue of what appeared to be some kind of horned owl was also seen in the basement of the Arizonan "freedom fighters" featured in "Future's End".
