The Great Forest was the afterlife in Talaxian spirituality. It was said to be a beautiful, sunlit forest. Deep inside it and at the center stood the Guiding Tree, where the deceased would meet a close family member and be led to a reunion with his or her ancestors. (VOY: "Mortal Coil")
Curiously the great forest as imagined by Neelix in his Vision quest and by Naomi Wildman in her dream appeared exactly the same. (that is, the same set was used)
