A graduation ceremony was a ceremonial gathering in which Starfleet cadets graduated from Starfleet Academy and began serving on starships.

In 2063, the graduation ceremony of the graduating class at Princeton was held at which Zefram Cochrane made a commencement address. (ENT: "Regeneration")

In 2368, Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise-D was to give the commencement address at that year's graduation ceremony. The ceremony was later marred by the death of cadet Joshua Albert in a shuttlecraft accident and there was some discussion about canceling it. However after Cadet Albert's father, Lieutenant Commander Albert gave Rear Admiral Brand his blessing, the ceremony was to go on. (TNG: "The First Duty")

As evidenced by the first draft script of the aborted film Star Trek: The Beginning, a graduation ceremony for the United Earth Stellar Navy Academy would have been featured near the start of that film. The ceremony would have taken place on 12 August 2159 and included a speech by Admiral Gardner.
