A geisha was a young Japanese woman who was trained to provide entertainment for men.
In 2266, the android Andrea was likened to "a mechanical geisha" in an argument between Christine Chapel and her former fiancé, Roger Korby. She speculated that if he could make an android replica of Dr. Brown, a mechanical geisha wouldn't be too hard to create. Korby assured Chapel he did not love Andrea. (TOS: "What Are Little Girls Made Of?")
The script for the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "A Man Alone" described the Lauriento massage holoprogram 101A as "a small room with an alien Geisha House-like setting."
