Jack R. Orend is the actor who played 0413 Theta, a Terran slave in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine second season episode "Crossover".

Orend started his acting career in 1979 when he portrayed a weary worker in Dummy along Paul Sorvino, LeVar Burton, and Gregg Henry, followed by supporting roles in The Blues Brothers (1980), Chicago Story (1981, with Michael Horton) and Skokie (1981, with John Rubinstein), Big Shots (1987, with Robert Joy and Paul Winfield), The Heist (1989, with Wendy Hughes and Noble Willingham), and An Innocent Man (1989, with F. Murray Abraham).

He portrayed the recurring role of Dwight in the television series General Hospital (1981) and made guest appearances in L.A. Law (1988, with Corbin Bernsen, Larry Drake, Joel Brooks, George Coe, Nancy Vawter, and Michael Keenan), Knots Landing (1990, with Michelle Phillips and Marco Sanchez), Quantum Leap (1992, starring Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell and with Vaughn Armstrong), and The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (1993, with Tony Jay and Mark Bramhall).
