In the script for the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "The Royale", the Euclidian solar system was a star system. In 2067, the exploratory shuttle Charybdis attempted to become the first ship to travel beyond the confines of this system. The telemetry system failed and the ship was never heard from again.
