Eco-recovery was a process by which a planet might recover from a climate-changing disaster.
After the Kohl settlement was hit by a solar flare that radically changed the weather patterns, the planet became uninhabitable and most inhabitants died, but eco-recovery was expected to start by the fifteenth year after the disaster.
Nineteen years later, the glaciers caused by the disaster were indeed found to be receding. (VOY: "The Thaw")
