David Dewitt is a former actor who worked as background actor on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
Dewitt was born in Owen County, Kentucky and was a student at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, where he graduated with a double major in drama and psychology. He moved with his wife to Lancaster, California in 1986 and started to work as a background performer in film and television in the late 1980s. Dewitt started to attend acting classes and appeared in several low budget films before working on Matlock, Moonlighting, and Hunter.
Dewitt became admission counselor at the Kentucky State University and at the Georgetown College before he returned to Centre College in 1998 where he is still working as associate director of admissions.
