Command style was a commanding officer's preferred method of dealing with those under their command.

In 2152, Jonathan Archer discussed Malcolm Reed's likely expectations for a posting on Enterprise NX-01, noting, "my command style lacked a certain spit and polish". (ENT: "Minefield")

In 2365, Captain Jean-Luc Picard addressed Sirna Kolrami's concerns about William T. Riker's laid-back command style, saying, "The test is if a crew will follow where Commander Riker leads. His joviality is the means by which he creates that loyalty. And I will match his command style with your statistics any time." (TNG: "Peak Performance")
