The Cervantes (NCC-1701/5) was a Stamets-type Federation shuttlecraft in service to Starfleet in the 23rd century. It was attached to the USS Enterprise.
In 2259, the Cervantes and the Galileo transported an Enterprise landing party to the site of the crashed USS Peregrine on Valeo Beta V. (SNW: "All Those Who Wander")
This shuttle was flown to a shuttlebay in Starbase 1. During its travel, the shuttle flew past its mother ship. (SNW: "The Broken Circle")
For the landing party mission to Rigel VII, this shuttle was piloted by Captain Christopher Pike. His landing party included Joseph M'Benga and La'an Noonien-Singh. (SNW: "Among the Lotus Eaters")
This shuttle was presumably named for Miguel de Cervantes, the author of Don Quixote.
The name of the shuttle was not spoken in dialogue, but was given in the mission description on La'an Noonien-Singh's PADD. Its identity onscreen can be deduced from VFX shots released by Pixomondo, which shows that the landed shuttle to the left is the Galileo. [1]
