Cast Reflections: Season One is an eight minute special released on the VOY Season 1 DVD.
This short subject includes interviews with the main cast members of Star Trek: Voyager regarding their experiences during the casting process, the filming, and the contact with the Star Trek fans.
Kate Mulgrew speaks about her casting and watching Jean-Luc Picard's appearances to prepare for the role. Roxann Dawson and Robert Beltran talk about the reception and the fan mail they received while Tim Russ and Ethan Phillips speak about playing an "alien" and the honor to be part of the Star Trek franchise. Robert Picardo prepared for his role by watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Also included are several scenes from the VOY Season 1 episodes "Caretaker", "Phage", and "Eye of the Needle" and several behind the scenes shooting clips from "Caretaker" and "Phage". These behind the scenes clips also include makeup and hair artists Mark Shostrom and Patricia Miller and several stand-ins including Lemuel Perry, Sue Henley, Jerry Quinn, and Jennifer Somers. Also included are two stills of Patrick Stewart from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek Generations.
