Bruce Winant (born 9 April 1957; age 67) is an actor, voice artist, and ADR voice casting director who was featured in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. [1]

Winant was born in Santa Monica, California, USA to actor H.M. Wynant and casting director/producer Ethel Winant. He is the brother of producer and director Scott Winant and musician William Winant. Since 1984, Winant is the co-owner and voice casting director of the New York based looping company Loopers Unlimited. Winant earned a BFA from the United States International University School of Performing Arts and has been worked in several award winning stage plays including "The Phantom of the Opera", "Miss Saigon", "Chicago", "Ragtime", "Les Miserables", "Fiddler on the Roof", and "La Cage aux Folles".

As an actor, he was featured in episodes of Greatest Heroes of the Bible (1978-1979, with John McLiam, Peter Mark Richman, Frank Gorshin, and Granville Van Dusen), Eischied (1979, with Alan Oppenheimer and Darleen Carr), T. J. Hooker (1982, with William Shatner, Richard Herd, George Murdock, and Gary Frank), L.A. Law (1987, with Corbin Bernsen, Terrence Beasor, Fran Bennett, Christopher Carroll, and Robin Gammell), Starman (1987, with Michael Cavanaugh), Hooperman (1989, with Barbara Bosson and Sam Anderson), thirtysomething (1991, with Erich Anderson and Adrian Sparks), My So-Called Life (1994), The West Wing (2001, with Corbin Bernsen), Law & Order (1996, 1999, and 2002, with Louise Sorel and Tim Ransom), and Carnivàle (2003, with Michael John Anderson, Adrienne Barbeau, Clancy Brown, Diane Salinger, John Savage, K Callan, James Lashly, Matt McCoy, Deborah Strang, Mark Colson, and Rachelle Roderick).

Winant was a main cast member of A.D. (1985, with Richard Kiley and Ben Vereen) and First Years (2001, with Sydney Tamiia Poitier). Film work include The Secret War of Jackie's Girls (1980, with Mariette Hartley), World War III (1982, with David Soul, Brian Keith, Rick Fitts, Bob Minor, and Brad Blaisdell), Mighty Aphrodite (1995), 'Til There Was You (1997), and Robots (2005) and Bee Season (2005). As member of the ADR Loop Group, he lent his voice to Murder by Numbers (2002), Hollywoodland (2006), MacGruber (2010), Boardwalk Empire (2010), and the comedy Young Adult (2011).

More recently, he appeared in episodes of Blue Bloods (2010, with Len Cariou), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2010), and Mildred Pierce (2011, with Ronald Guttman).

Working as voice casting director for Loopers Unlimited, Winant cast ADR and looping voices for Ed Wood (1994), Someone Like You (2001), The Human Stain (2003), Ice Age (2002), Robots (2005), Bee Season (2005), Salt (2010), Black Swan (2010), Salvation Boulevard (2011), The Adjustment Bureau (2011), Mildred Pierce (2011), Tower Heist (2011), the comedy Imogene (2012), The English Teacher (2012), the comedy The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013), and the sport documentary Gravity (2013).
