Bill Larson (14 February 1930 – 5 July 2016; age 86) [1] was the former captain of the 1989-built sailing vessel Lady Washington, which was used as filming location in Star Trek Generations.
Larson himself appeared as the helmsman to whom Marina Sirtis turned over the helm. [2] He served as captain between 1993 and 1996.
