In 2293, the position and orbital path of Beta Penthe IV were illustrated on a system map of the Beta Penthe system. The map was from the Starfleet Command Intelligence Database. In the planned "Operation Retrieve", the USS Eagle would pass between this planet and Beta Penthe II on its journey to Rura Penthe. Along with other pages for the "Operation Retrieve" command briefing, the page with this map was seen in the office of the Federation President on Earth. This planet's quadrant of origin is inferred based on the position of its star system as seen in the star charts appearing in the Star Trek: Discovery episode "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad" and in the Star Trek: Picard episode "Maps and Legends".
