Armus IX was the inhabited ninth planet in its star system.
Prior to stardate 41636, William Riker had to wear a costume decorated with feathers here during a diplomatic conference. In 2364, Riker referenced this event in a conversation with Natasha Yar and Deanna Troi in his preparations for his meeting with Beata, the Elected One of Angel I, on the lengths to which he would go to meet local customs. (TNG: "Angel One")
This planet was only mentioned in dialogue.
According to StarTrek.com, the planet's name was spelled Armis IX, while the Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 1, p. 45 spelled it Armus IX. [1](X)
