Allen Ginsberg was the writer of a poem called "Howl", as was established in the first draft script of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine seventh season episode "The Changing Face of Evil". Although Ezri Dax and Julian Bashir consecutively assumed that Morn had written the poem because he had just recited it, Kira Nerys clarified to Dax, before Bashir joined them, that the poem's writer was actually Allen Ginsberg.
