Synopsis for "Second Wind"
Moon Knight, aboard his helicopter, spots The Fly breaking into a penthouse apartment and confronts him. The Fly manages to best Moon Knight and blows him into a window in the wake of his flapping wings. Despite the seemingly minor injury, Moon Knight seems unable to move and Marlene and Frenchie are later informed by a hospital doctor that despite their best efforts, he may not walk again. He subsequently becomes wheelchair-bound and tells Marlene, Gena Landers, and Crawley that his days as Moon Knight might be over.
Later at an event for a ballet company sponsored by Steven Grant, a young Russian female mutant by the name of Bora confronts the lead dancer of the company for leaving their native land and summons an incredibly powerful wind power that ultimately kills him while Marc watches helplessly as his inability to walk prevents him from becoming Moon Knight. In the aftermath, he convinces himself that he must fight to regain his strength because he feels his powers as Moon Knight are still needed and in his determination, manages to stand up from his wheelchair in front of Frenchie, Marlene, and Nedda.
Moon Knight afterwards visits Professor X to learn about Bora’s mutant power. Professor X tells him that her power are psionic based. Moon Knight is convinced that she’ll attack again on opening night of an upcoming ballet performance and after leaving, Professor X discusses how best to help with Colossus and Nightcrawler. The X-Men later arrive at the ballet and find the Fantastic Four in attendance as well. During the performance, Bora arrives and begins to use her wind power on the ballet dancers and Moon Knight jumps to their aid. Frenchie and Marlene use sound and lights to disrupt Bora’s psionic concentration as Moon Knight attacks her and the Fantastic Four and X-Men seek to minimize the damage to the theater and people in attendance. Moon Knight finally manages to overcome Bora using a rag with a sleeping agent and manages to regain his confidence, later vowing to Marlene to never quit again.
