Synopsis for "Primal Scream"

Moon Knight walks through a foul-smelling abandoned industrial area searching for a group called The Raiders when he is attacked by a growling boy who he knows as Frank. Moon Knight defends himself but quickly recognizes the boy to be under the influence of something and lacking the will to put up any real fight. He radioes Frenchie to alert the police but Frank runs away in his distraction.

Moon Knight thinks back to the first time he encountered Frank while he was in the guise of Jake Lockley having coffee in his usual haunt and speaking to Gena Landers and Bertrand Crawley about a group of young men called “Raiders” who Crawley assumes the police are afraid of due to the brutality of their crimes. As they’re talking, a group of animalistic Raiders including Frank enter the back door of the diner and savagely attack the patrons. Lockley is helping to fight off the intruders but is distracted and knocked unconscious when Frank attacks and bites Gena despite knowing her. He awakens to see a shaken Crawley and a severely injured Gena being treated by paramedics. She asks Jake to find Frank and he agrees expecting her intentions to be to help the boy before the police arrest him but she feels betrayed by Frank and tells Jake instead that she wants him to be hurt.

Moon Knight continues to search for the Raiders as Gena tries to resume a sense of normalcy by running the diner but struggles to shake her sense of dread. Moon Knight finds a young woman who is delirious and suffering from a chemical skin poisoning. He thinks back to a previous visit he had to the industrial area as Steven Grant with Marlene and a man who explains to them that money that he had invested in the area had gone to waste and the stench is caused by chemicals that no one feels compelled to clean up despite Grant’s best efforts. Moon Knight muses about what kind of chemicals could cause such savagery while caring for the young woman. He continues his fruitless search as Frenchie informs him that Frank has escaped from police and remains at-large.

Frank returns to the diner and confronts Gena while Moon Knight comes across a group of Raiders in a warehouse who have been savagely beaten by someone they refer to as Alcaide. One of the Raiders explains to Moon Knight that most of them wished to leave the area due to feeling nauseated by the foul smell but Alcaide had uncovered a certain chemical that could induce savagery and directs Moon Knight to where Alcaide would spend most of his time in the warehouse where he finds a barrel labeled “Primal Project” containing the mysterious chemical. This triggers another flashback of when Spector was working as a mercenary on a job for the US government where he was escorting a man named Wenzel through the South American jungle and hoping to terminate a rogue professor’s “Primal Project” after determining it had not had the desired effects on its subjects. Spector shoots a man out of a tree and Wenzel identifies him to be the aforementioned professor. They encounter an army tent surrounded by bodies and Spector is attacked and injured by a humanoid creature before Wenzel scares it off by shooting at it. Wenzel blows up the tent as they leave the outpost, hoping to be ridden of the chemical once and for all.

Moon Knight encounters a werewolf-like Alcaide in the present who happens to be the same man he had been attacked by in the jungle, and who desires to control the Primal Project chemical that triggered the savagery in himself and the Raiders. Moon Knight begins to fight with Alcaide as Frank meanwhile begins to once again attack Gena at the diner. Moon Knight struggles to overcome Alcaide having underestimated his strength but eventually wins the fight while Gena in her fury knocks Frank out with a coffee pot and a wooden chair and calls the police. Moon Knight’s injuries force him to call for Frenchie to land the chopper to pick him as he’s unable to climb the ladder to the chopper in flight.

Later, Crawley and Jake Lockley are speaking to Gena in the diner where she tries to reconcile her feelings about Frank but is clearly shaken in the aftermath of their encounter and unable to resume her normal routine.

Synopsis for "Scorecard!"

A bedraggled man with tattered clothes and missing teeth and calling himself the Score-Keeper narrates the story and reflects on his personal thoughts on Moon Knight. He mocks Moon Knight’s appearance and posits the question of whether Moon Knight is actually making a difference. Moon Knight is shown stopping a couple of young thugs dressed as werewolves harassing an elderly Jewish shop-owner while Gena Landers is meanwhile telling her sons that their uncle offered to look after them in Houston.

The Score-Keeper continues by questioning Moon Knight’s close confidants Frenchie, Marlene Alraune, and Bertrand Crawley, all of whom express their unwavering support for him while Moon Knight meets Detective Flint on the street who informs him of where he can find Officer Daniels who is hospitalized after being injured in the encounter with Alcaide. Moon Knight comes to his room and apologizes to the officer of his inability to prevent his injury. Daniels expresses his fear at the encounter with Alcaide and respect for Moon Knight, who reciprocates his feeling of respect for the injured officer before leaving.

The Score-Keeper finishes his narration by disregarding Moon Knight’s heroic deeds and support by ripping up his scorecard and laughing.

Solicit Synopsis

Deadly germ-warfare toxins have infected street kids, destroying their minds and filling them with murderous rage— and strength to match. Killing them will save the city— saving them will cost the life of one of Moon Knight's most trusted friends. The choice is clear to the Marc Spector side of Moon Knight's personality— but any choice is tragic. Don't miss "Primal Scream."
