Today is the last day for many of us at Disruptive Games. And my goodness do I love this team, so BUCKLE UP folks. It's time for *emotions*. 🌠 I started this job with brown hair, insane imposter syndrome, and nervous with those "first day at a new school" feels. I'm leaving with blonde hair (there's a high chance this turns pink soon), the most confidence I've ever had in my work, and a forever gaming community. No company is perfect, but Disruptive managed to find every star in game dev and hired them all. This was a great wave to ride. 🏄♀️ This job and Caitlin Marrin Ibañez changed my soul and my sense of what a workplace could be. I was able to show up wholly and fully each day and I loved everything about what I did. I know how rare and special this is. Even if I knew this would be the outcome, I'd still choose the same journey. TLDR: I'm going to miss everything about this place. I'm going to take some time off to bake my way through Claire Saffitz's "Dessert Person" (if you're in the Seattle area, come over!), get better at snowboarding, and update my resume + LinkedIn. My top priority over the next few weeks will be using this profile to highlight all the awesome talent from Disruptive Games. Any HR / TA role leads and pasta recipes are deeply appreciated. If you know me, you know that I'm an eternal optimist. So here's to experiencing the unlimited potential of this world! I'm genuinely excited about what comes next. ✨
