Celebrate Elise Czuchna and Keli Cochran, Esq. — our May Amicus Mundi Award Recipients! Elise and Keli are tireless advocates for incarcerated individuals. Elise has worked on this cause since her undergraduate days and now focuses on direct services at Prisoners' Legal Services of New York. Keli has been a champion for change with the #HALTsolitary Campaign since 2012, inspired by her brothers' experiences in the prison system. Their work with the #HALTsolitary Campaign and We The Action ensures representation at disciplinary hearings, ending solitary confinement, and promoting humane treatment.
