  • USOW was born out of one core motivator: our movement for gender equity will be stronger if we bring together leaders and organizations to strategize, mobilize, and drive impact together. Seven years later and that has never changed. While USOW is sunsetting, our work and mission will continue because of everyone who has taken action with us, and because of our incredible partners in the gender equity movement. We couldn’t be more grateful for your support, passion, and dedication to this fight. To this incredible community: we are so grateful for your partnership through the ups and downs, every hard fought win, the collective mourning, and the many firsts and historic moments.

  • Mifepristone is safe and effective, and our fight to protect this critical abortion medication continues as we wait for a decision from the Fifth Circuit. That’s why we led a People’s Amicus Brief signed by 140 of our partners in the fight for intersectional gender equity to demand that our courts reverse this harmful decision and uphold the law. Read our brief here: usow.org/mife-brief Image description: A three-slide square graphic carousel with a black background and a thin white border. There is a white “w” U S O W logo centered at the top of each slide. The first slide has bold white text highlighted in red that says, “140 gender equity organizations agree:” White italicized text says, “The Courts must reverse this harmful decision and uphold the law.” At the bottom, bold white text highlighted in red says, “Mifepristone is safe and effective.” Behind the text, there is a black and white photo of the Supreme Court. The second slide has bold white text that says, “Mifepristone is safe & effective.” Below there is smaller white text that says, “Since being approved by the FDA over 20 years ago, mifepristone has been used safely by over five million people in the United States. It has a 99% safety rate.” Below there is bold white text that says, “Read our brief: usow dot org slash mife hyphen brief.” The following phrases are highlighted red: “Safe & effective,” “over five million people,” “99% safety rate,” and “usow dot org slash mife hyphen brief.” The third slide has a square white text box with a red ribbon in the top left corner that says “Resources” in white text. Below there is black text that says, “Find available care options via i need an a dot com and abortion finder dot org. Questions about laws in your state? Visit repro legal helpline dot org. • Today, we are proud to release Fighting for Abortion Access: Campus Edition — a new resource where college students can understand the legal landscape, locate local resources, and take action in their communities. By organizing across college campuses, students can drastically shift the culture around abortion access in their local community. We hope that you find this to be a powerful tool in your ongoing advocacy and share it widely: https://lnkd.in/eYjqqa-M
