How to Make All Cauldron Upgrades
The Cauldron is one of the most important items to build in Valheim as it significantly improves the food that you eat, which in turn provides you with more buffs such as additional stamina and health. In addition, the Cauldron also has the ability to create mead bases that act as Valheim's potions. For even more details on how to craft all major Cauldron upgrades, be sure to check out our handy guide below.
How to Craft All Cauldron Upgrades
Unfortunately, the standard Cauldron doesn't automatically come with all major upgrades, instead, they must be crafted with a number of different materials that you'll need to collect from different biomes. In this guide, you'll learn everything you need to know in order to craft a Cauldron, a Spice Rack, a Butcher's Table, and Pots and Pans. Click the links below to jump to...
How to Craft a Cauldron
Before we can begin crafting the upgrades of the Cauldron, we'll need to craft a Cauldron, which requires:
- 10x Tin
That's it! Just 10 Tin. However, you will also need a Forge to be around when you make it. Unfortunately, a Cauldron can't just be placed anywhere, as it'll need to be placed on either a campfire or hearth in order to work correctly.
How to Craft a Spice Rack
Now that you have crafted a Cauldron, your first upgrade will likely be the Spice Rack, which you will need materials that can be gathered from the Black Forest Biome and the Swamp Biome. This means that it might take a while to get them:
- 5x Mushroom
- 5x Dandelion
- 3x Turnip
- 3x Thistle
- 2x Carrot
The only thing that's making this upgrade kind of hard is the Turnip which can only be found in the Swamp Biome and they can only be found as seeds. You need to plant them first on a farm.
You can check out our farm guide to get you started in Farming!
The Spice Rack can also be quite tricky to place, so make sure to have a beam parallel to you near the cauldron so you could hang it there.
How to Craft a Butcher's Table
The next upgrade is the Butcher's Table. This one is another upgrade that ups the ante on the difficulty of material acquisition. Here are the materials for the Butcher's Table:
Core Wood and Fine Wood are both abundant. Ancient Bark can be found in the Swamp Biome and Silver can only be found in the Mountains Biome. Unlike the Spice Rack, you can place the Butcher's table on the floor and there shouldn't be much of a problem doing so.
How to Craft Pots and Pans
Last but not least, we have the Pots and Pans upgrade for the Cauldron. This is the final upgrade that can be made to the Cauldron. To perform the upgrade, you will need the following materials:
- 5x Iron
- 5x Copper
- 5x Black Metal
- 10x Fine Wood
The tricky material here would be the Black Metal which can only be found in Plains and dropped by Fulings. The Plains are one of the most dangerous areas in Valheim so be sure to be properly equipped before you venture on. The pots and pans are similar to the spice rack in placement. They need to be hung.
