When a payment is made in store or online, a token is generated, so your card number won’t be stored on your device or with merchants.

Go to Settings, Wallet & Apple Pay, then Select “Add Card.”
Use your camera to capture your card information or enter it manually. Then follow the on-screen prompts to complete setup.
Use your phone to tap and pay in stores that display this symbol or when checking out online or in app, click the Apple Pay button.
Add your Citizens debit or credit card to Apple Pay and then use your phone to tap in-stores or checkout online or in-app using the Apple Pay button. It's that simple!
Look for this symbol in-stores for where Apple Pay is accepted. When checking out online or in-app just look for the Apple Pay button.
Apple Pay is secure. Your card number is not stored in the phone or with merchants. Instead of using your card number, when you add your card a unique number is assigned. And your card in Apple Pay is protected by TouchID® and/or your device passcode. Since you don’t have to show your debit card, your private account information is protected
Yes. When adding your card to Apple Pay, a token is assigned. As a result, your actual debit or credit card number is not stored on the phone or shared with merchants. In addition, Apple Pay is protected by TouchID®, FaceID® or a PIN. And don’t forget about the added protection of Zero Liability1 for unauthorized purchases that comes with your Citizens debit or credit card2.
There is no cost to add a card for using Apple Pay. However, Apple Pay does require an active data plan in order to work. Your data plan may incur additional message and data charges.
You can use Apple Pay to make purchases in stores. Just look for this symbol symbol at checkout.
You can also use Apple Pay in participating merchant apps or online with supported devices. Look for the “Buy with Apple Pay” or “Apple Pay” button at checkout.

You can now set a default card for use as your “Express Transit Card”. To do this, follow similar steps above and select your Citizens Card within the Transit Cards settings.
