If you have a checking account with us, you can request your debit card by simply visiting us online, calling 1-800-922-9999 or stopping by your local branch.
You can easily reset your PIN in the Citizens mobile app.* Simply log on, choose MANAGE CARDS in the navigation at the top left, then select Change PIN.
In the Citizens Mobile App*, visit the “Manage Cards” option in the main menu, and select “Debit Cards” to view the card you need to cancel. You can temporarily “freeze” your card and/or cancel and order a new card from the “Replace Card” option. Another option is to use our automated phone system, 24 hours a day, to cancel and order a lost or stolen card. After authenticating in the automated system, select the ATM/Debit Card services menu, option 3, to cancel and reorder your card.
There are no fees for requesting a replacement debit card. Fees do apply for requested rush delivery of your debit card.
Contactless payments use short-range wireless technology to make secure payments between a contactless card or payment-enabled device and a contactless-enabled checkout terminal. Customers can tap their card near the Contactless Symbol , and their payment is sent for authorization. The card should be within 1-2 inches of the terminal; however, some terminals function best if you tap the contactless-enabled card to the terminal itself. Contactless cards also come with a chip and magnetic stripe, so you can insert your card or use the magnetic stripe if a terminal is not yet contactless-enabled.
You can use your contactless-enabled card anywhere you see the contactless payment symbol. This includes fast food restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores, pharmacies, stadiums and more. If you don't see the symbol, your contactless-enabled card can still be used by inserting your chip card or swiping at checkout.
