Pew-matic Horn (demo) — The Pew-matic Horn attacking Target Dummies. Note how the damage varies depending on the projectile being fired.

The Pew-matic Horn is a gun dropped by the Deerclops with a 25*1/4 (25%) chance. Bullets fired by this weapon quickly lose their horizontal speed once shot and are heavily affected by gravity. The type of bullet used does not change the projectiles fired by this weapon. Instead, the Pew-matic Horn will fire many random items. The damage dealt changes depending on the visual of the projectile being fired.

Its best modifier is Unreal.

All of the items listed averaged, the Pew-Matic Horn does 20.83 damage per item.

The damage dealt by the projectile is roughly correlated to the weight those items would have in real life: heavier items, such as Stone Blocks, will deal more damage than lighter items, such as herbs.
Possessing those items is not required to fire the weapon. It only consumes bullets.
Since special bullet types do not grant it any additional effect, this weapon is best used with Musket Balls or an Endless Musket Pouch. However, it does inherit the base damage of the bullets used, which can be decently powerful with its damage multiplier ability.

Trivia[]

This weapon's behavior is a reference to its original appearance in Don't Starve: Hamlet, in which it fires normal items when set as ammunition.
- This makes it the only item added in the Don't Starve crossover not present in Don't Starve Together.
The tooltip is a reference to WX-78's examination quote for the Pew-matic Horn in Don't Starve.
