Madam Bo (波夫人) is a minor character in the Mortal Kombat series that appears in Mortal Kombat 1.

Storyline
Mortal Kombat 1
Madam Bo has been friends with her two customers Raiden and Kung Lao for many years. When the Lin Kuei arrives by her restaurant to extort her with protection fees, she ignored them completely, resulting in Smoke ordering his men to destroy her restaurant. She fought off Smoke briefly before being repeatedly struck and thrown down to the first floor and through a table, resulting in her being knocked out.
However, this is later revealed to be a test by Liu Kang, and that both Madam Bo and the Lin Kuei had been actually working for him. She had been tasked with overseeing the two young men and preparing them for the Mortal Kombat tournament.
Trivia
- Madam Bo shares several connections with Bo' Rai Cho from the original timeline. On top of their names, both are elderly, experienced warriors responsible for training future Earthrealm Champions and Shaolin Monks, have an association with alcohol (Bo' Rai Cho is a Drunken Fist master while Madam Bo serves alcohol at her restaurant and also secretly her "special tea" (a hallucinogenic beverage)), have bad habits (Bo' Rai Cho is an alcoholic while Madam Bo smokes), and are friends with the divine protector of Earthrealm (Bo' Rai Cho with Raiden and Madam Bo with Liu Kang).
- It is unknown if Madam Bo is related to Bo' Rai Cho, or is the new version of him in Liu Kang's timeline.
